Despite the wild weather from Storm Amy throwing a spanner in the works, our resilient Plymouth Musketeers still managed to get out there and represent! A massive well done to everyone who braved the elements – your dedication is what makes our club so special.
Parkrun Heroes
With conditions putting a damper on things, only 8 Muskies made it to parkrun events this weekend. Hats off to those who clocked up a few essential miles for that all-important Saturday morning fix. Every step counts towards building our community’s strength and spirit!
Race Results: Beating the Storm
A few intrepid racers dodged the downpours and delivered some fantastic performances:
• Great Scottish Half Marathon: Lewis Lundie smashed it in 01:42:37 – and a huge congrats on your first half marathon in the blue colours! What a way to fly the Musketeer flag north of the border.
• Templer 10 Miler: Brilliant efforts from our crew who conquered the course:
• Matt Vosper: 01:44:45
• Kris Jones: 01:44:47
• Louise King: 01:52:50
• Bryan King: 02:07:25
These results showcase the grit and training payoff that comes from being part of the Plymouth Musketeers. If you’re inspired to join our training sessions or events, check out our calendar and get involved – we’d love to see you out there!
PCR October Challenge: Community in Motion
The PCR October Challenge has been a highlight, with loads of Muskies racking up miles, sharing pics, and tackling segments. From social runs and family walks to supporting vital charities, it’s been all about coming together, staying active, and giving back. Keep those updates coming – they’re motivating the whole club!
If you’ve got photos, stories, or achievements from your runs (Storm Amy survivors or otherwise), send them my way for next week’s round-up. Let’s keep the momentum going and celebrate every Muskie milestone.
Stay safe, keep running, and Go Muskies! 💙🏃♂️🏃♀️
